Building Through the

                        Power of Nature

Empowerment Through Housing

Approximately 640 million people worldwide are without proper shelter due to poverty, human conflict and natural disaster. The lack of shelter causes millions to die every year from exposure and disease.

Pacific Green Innovations, Inc. specializes in the design, manufacturing and building of modular housing and structures which are secure, strong and effective. Through the localized fabrication of housing building panels, we enable buildings to be erected in places where valuable natural resources are limited and the need for quick, durable, sustainable and economical housing is required. This is accomplished through the development of “local” panel manufacturing facilities which utilize as close to 100% local labor for the manufacturing of building panels and the build up of homes as possible, while using little or no natural resources and very little in the way of importation.

Homes for Haiti

It is estimated nearly 1.5 million Haitians have lost their homes in the January 12 earthquake and hundreds of thousands of residents have been moved outside the ravaged capital, where they have taken shelter in over 400 scattered encampments - living under nothing but make shift tents and tarps.

With the rainy season in full swing, hurricanes bearing down, and Cholera spreading through the displaced population, Pacific Green Innovations has found it imperative to act in response to the cry of help from thousands of Haitians.

Pacific Green Innovations with its Haitian partner Societe Haitienne De Promotion Immobilier S.A. has jointly founded a building products manufacturing facility which will locally manufacture structural honeycomb panels, that can be easily assembled by five persons in less than 3 days to create a fully functional move in ready home.

The panels for each home is constructed with a structural honeycomb building material, which is drawn from recyclable materials and relies on the use of little or no local resources. All of the core materials and panels are made in Haiti by Haitians at our Port-au-Prince (SONAPI) facility. Local materials are utilized in the construction and finishing of each structure, this includes locally made windows and doors as well as locally procured products such as tile, paint, concrete and fixtures.

At this time, we have equipment installed at our facility in Port au Prince, Haiti and have the capacity to process panels for nearly 20 homes per 8 hour shift.

We welcome any and all assistance that can be given in support with equipment, labor, materials, and/or donations.
